    Terrific ripeness and healthy grapes

    The 2000 vintage brought us lovely white wines—especially the Chardonnays—and extraordinary red wines. The harvest was some 30% less than the historical average, thanks to extremely small and concentrated berries.

    We really have to look back to 1945 to find a vintage to compare with it — terrific ripeness and healthy grapes.
