Blaufränkisch is Burgenland´s traditional grape variety. It thrives well in the Pannonian climate on the southern slopes of the Leithagebirge with their calcareous loam soils. It stands out for its lovely berry fruit and elegant spiciness. It is the universal companion to pâtés and meat dishes.
