– Schatzkammerweine –

Since the 1970s, the Kollwentz winery has been storing wines "for eternity". Formerly to verify the shelf life of the wines, these wines were later used in small quantities on special occasions such as vintage verticals.

With the construction of a new cellar in 2014, the possibility was created to store a larger number of bottles in order to offer them to our customers in the gastronomy and wine friends at a later date.

The wines with the additional label "Schatzkammerwein" – treasure chamber wine – mature in this cellar for at least another five years beyond the first year of sale. The treasure chamber label shows the vintage when the bottle leaves the winery, thus ensuring that the respective wine has matured under optimal conditions in the winery up to this year.
