Draining a new plot of ground…

Before we plant our newly acquired parcel in the Ried Point, a bit of drainage is in order.
To do this we place perforated hoses some 80cm (2’ 7”) deep in the ground, to channel off excess water from the vineyard. Stagnant water would first cause the vine roots to rot, and then to die. It’s much easier to do this before planting the vines, which we plan to do in April/May.
