For years now the Vinaria Trophy has been considered to be one of the most highly sought-after prizes in the world of Austrian wine.

These trophies are conferred annually upon the most highly-rated wines of the recently concluded tasting season. This year’s awarding of the trophies for Burgenland took place during the annual presentation of the Renommierte Weingüter Burgenland in Schloss Esterházy.

The Kollwentz Estate in Grosshöflein won the Gold Trophy in both categories Varietal Red Wine and Pinot-Family Reserve White Wine; with this achievement, they are the only estate to secure two golden trophies. As an additional distinction, Kollwentz was awarded the Silver Trophy for their Sauvignon Blanc.
