370 Wines in Vinaria’s Premium Red Wine Tasting – First Place for Blaufränkisch Setz 2008. Blaufränkisch Point 2008 gets the victory in the Falstaff Reserve Trophy, and the Cabernet Sauvignon wins again in its varietal category.

The Vinaria Premium Red Wine Tasting brought a surprising result: a wine from 2008 came in in front of all of the 2009s.    First place goes to the Kollwentz Estate for their Blaufränkisch Setz 2008. Blaufränkisch Point 2007 and Steinzeiler 2008 place in the top 15 with 17.9 and 17.8 points respectively.

And there is great news to report from Falstaff as well: Kollwentz Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 won in the Cabernet Division, and the Blaufränkisch Point 2008 wins the Falstaff-Reserve Trophy.
