Falstaff Burgundertrophy 2010
Press
The jury presenting 2010’s Burgundertrophy, the most imporant benchmark for white wine in Burgenland, closely examined the local whites during the last few weeks.
In the category of barrique Chardonnays from the 2008 vintage, the final round of competition proved very intense and hotly contested—there were a dozen candidates in the running. But in the blind tasting, the jury of industry professionals was unanimous in its decision: victory went to the Chardonnay Tatschler from the wine estate Kollwentz in Grosshöflein. …and then there was the Falstaff Reserve White Trophy for 2010, where once more Kollwentz stood on the uppermost level, this time with the 2006 Chardonnay Gloria.
