A necessary bit of renovation
14 Nov 2014 – General
Our oldest vineyard in the Ried Point was planted in 1971. So after 43 years it’s time for us to replace all of the trellising.
Rusty wires work together with the wind to cause abrasion damage to the shoots. So now we’re removing the old wires, replacing all the stakes and installing the new wires. This will improve our ability to work effectively on the foliage canopies. The new trellising will also enable us to keep the foliage thinner, which will bring more sunshine to the grape clusters.
