Gault Millau 2010

Is there a winery so top-placed in all three categories (white, red and sweet wine) as the Römerhof? Somewhere in the world? Hardly. The 2006-Steinzeiler is fantastic, the Chardonnays not less, the TBAs also play forward. And also the promising Blaufränkisch single Cru wines Ried Setz and Ried Point are already great wines, Pinot Noir of Ried Duerr, in the second year also outstanding. The latest series of the wine estate, you can actually call fulminant. And Sauvignon Blanc Steinmühle is a prime example of a in barrels upgraded Power-Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon a fixed Bank for friends of the variety, and has been so since 25 years.

"That's the genuine under wine growers: whether small or fabulous vintage, it was always relied on. Andi Kollwentz is the breaking Decathlete among Austria winemakers, because he sees himself to the diverse disciplines and is in every category to find on top …", judge Peter Moser of Falstaff about this traditional winery. Rene Gabriel adores even " those Kollwentz for me is the best winemaker in the world, because his wines, in white, red and sweet, are belonging to the top of the world…"
On his side is his father Anton Kollwentz. He, the pioneer of Burgenland, draws upon a wealth of experience of 50 vintages.
Blaufränkisch and Chardonnay vines are the dominating in this since 1775 existing winery.
In addition to the perfect vineyard work, the successes of the family Kollwentz probably lay also in their vineyard land.
